(by Steve Kallesser, Allegheny SAF Program Chair)

Beginning in 2016, concurrent sessions during Allegheny SAF winter and summer meetings will become the norm.  This change in program style was brought forward by both the Maryland/Delaware Division and the NJ Division in order to accommodate maximum training opportunities for members across the broad field of forestry.

By running concurrent sessions, Allegheny SAF (and its local chapters) seek to make summer and winter meetings increasingly relevant to members, be they rural foresters, urban and community foresters, or those involved in research and academia.  Please keep an eye out for the next Allegheny News to see the agenda for the February 2016 Winter meeting to be held outside of Baltimore, MD.
